Charleston Farmers Market Treasures (Every Saturday, April 9 – December18, 2011)

Charleston Crepe Company

Visit Chez Mukweto for this Strawberry Cheesecake Crepe recipe!

One thing that I don't take for granted is great food!  The best Crepes that I've had in the US are located downtown here in Charleston, SC.  I'm hungry just thinking of this place!  Growing up my mom would try new recipes on us and one that stayed with me from childhood was her Strawberry Crepes.  Her version was the desert crepe recipe with a cream cheese and strawberry filling.  Last year mom and I were in Paris and I had my first French Crepe!  I learned that I had been folding it differently!  Thanks Steff for telling me the best ones are right outside the Notre Dame!  One day I hope to go back with my Mister!

OK, so Charleston Crepe Company!!! They are only at the Mount Pleasant market on Tuesday and Charleston Market on Saturdays. My favorite is Banana, Nutella and walnuts!  Plain lemon juice and sugar is good, as is fresh fruit and sugar! Have you made any lately or what's your favorite?  Check out Charleston Crepe's savory ones!

My other great find were these super cute Handbags.  Add Libb Designs have been seen in local Carolina publications and even  in Southern Living.  I love her selection of vintage and home decor fabrics.  Libby had her workshop set up at her booth.  It was great to see her cutting and creating her clutch forms and use such great creativity.  Her quirky handles and jewel appliques are very fun and sheek!  She accepts orders for Bridesmaids gifts customized to your wedding colors.  These bags would be great Birthday or Christmas gifts!
